Panama City - fun in the sun
Panama City is a great place to take your kids - really. Younger children will appreciate the many attractions here, such as: Ripley's, Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise and Zoo World. Teenagers? Well, they're probably jaded by Orlando already - and besides, is there any pleasing them anyway?
Restaurants
Angelina's Pizzeria & Pasta
On 23rd between the two theaters, Angelina's is the hometown favorite for pasta dishes and has been for, well, since the original restaurant opened in Seaside Beach - it's still there, too. You can expect to find all your familiar and favorite Italian dishes on the menu. Angelina's can be crowded on the weekends. 3212 West 23rd Street.
Places to Stay
Osprey Resort Motel
Scattered throughout Florida you're bound to come across one of this pink, mid-rise concrete oceanfront buildings that have virtually no exterior appeal whatsoever. But, you're not buying the building, just renting a room. These 70 one bedroom suites have a kitchen (nice) and offer a beautiful view of the beach below from your private balcony. The rates are reasonable, and the motel is close to the downtown area. The Osprey is friendly and offers an excellent value. 15801 Front Beach Road.
