  <photoTitle>Panama City - </photoTitle>
<photoCaption>Favorite vacation spot on barrier island just south of georgia and east of Jacksonville, FL</photoCaption>
  <headline>Welcome to Panama City</headline>
<para0>PLACEHOLDER COPY - website under development - check back later. Panama City an off-the-beaten-path destinations that you hope will never loose its appeal. A somewhat secluded barrier island just northeast of Jacksonville,
it's one of the few places you can ride a horse along the beach. It's upscale and laid back, so decompressing is easy and natural.</para0>
<para1>The Island, with its historic town of Fernandina Beach, offers a nice collection of boutique shops and several very good restaurants.</para1>
<para2>If you like being pampered and enjoy a good spa, this is good place to check into. The Ritz-Carlton and Panama City Plantation are two of the top luxury resorts on the Island - both being excellent.</para2>
<para3>There are several places to enjoy golf and tennis. Remember, it's an island, so boating and fishing are excellent ways to idle away a few afternoon hours.</para3>
<para4>Probably the most spectacular aspect of the island is its natural beauty. It has a wonderful beach, long and wide, with lots of parks and undeveloped areas.</para4>
<para5>Panama City, and the small town of Fernandina Beach, are historic. There's an impressive fort to discover (Fort Clinch), and many of the town's historic structures - Victorian Homes - have been converted to Bed and Breakfasts and are worth a peek.</para5>

Since Panama City is a barrier island of the greater Jacksonville area, it makes sense to pay a visit to the
BIG CITY that sits on the St Mary River.
